Silver is the closest a plain ABS gets to looking like metal, and on mock-ups, scale models and replacement trim it reads convincingly as brushed aluminium, particularly if you drag fine sandpaper across the surface in one direction afterwards. It is not a metal-filled composite, so it runs on a standard nozzle with no extra wear, which keeps it practical for long jobs. Beneath the finish it is the same tough South African ABS: impact resistant, heat tolerant and stable enough for parts that have to fit properly. A useful roll for anyone restoring appliances or older equipment.
