Red does double duty. It is the convention for anything meaning stop, hot or do not touch, and it is a strong display colour for models that will be looked at rather than bolted down. This ABS keeps the shade deep rather than orange-leaning, and holds it consistently from the start of a spool to the end, which matters on multi-part builds printed across several days. The material underneath is a locally made engineering ABS, so a lever, handle or cover made from it will take heat and knocks that a PLA equivalent would not. It finishes well under sanding and paint.
