Hyper ABS is reformulated for machines that move briskly: the melt flows more freely and sets sooner, so a quick printer keeps going without starving the walls of material. Black is the practical choice for finished parts, since it conceals layer lines and takes acetone smoothing to a gloss. Mechanically it is what you want from ABS, impact-resistant and tough enough for brackets, enclosures and tools that get handled daily, and steady in warm surroundings. The formulation also holds its shape better than ordinary ABS as it cools, which cuts the corner lift that catches people out. An enclosure remains sensible.

Before you print
Print in an enclosure. ABS warps and splits in a draught, and it needs ventilation.
