This is PLA Plus rather than standard PLA, so it stands up better to knocks and handling while still printing on an ordinary setup. The gun metal colour has a dark, metallic silk sheen suited to brackets, tool handles, replica parts and anything meant to look machined rather than moulded. The combination is unusual, since most silk filaments are bought for looks alone while this one is strong enough for parts that get used. It is manufactured in South Africa and vacuum-sealed, so a spool that has sat on the shelf for a season still runs cleanly when opened.
