Silk white sits between a matte white and a painted finish: the sheen picks up light across curves and edges, which makes rounded models read as solid objects rather than stacks of layers. It is a good choice for figurines, lamp shades, product mock-ups and anything destined for a photograph or a shop shelf. Because the base colour is neutral, it also takes dye and acrylic paint predictably if you want to finish it later. On the machine it behaves like the PLA you already know, so there is nothing new to learn before your first spool goes on.
