Macaron Purple belongs to Soleyin Ultra’s pastel group — soft, slightly powdery and quite unlike the hard violets usually sold as purple PLA. It works for gift items, desk toys, jewellery trays, keycaps and articulated figures where the colour is part of the appeal. Pastels are unforgiving of poor extrusion because shadows fall differently on a matte tone, and this grade holds a steady flow that keeps broad surfaces even. It sits comfortably alongside the other macaron shades if you print matching pieces or swap colours partway through a model. Pigment runs through the material, so sanded edges stay the same colour.
