ASA is what you print when the part is going to live outside. It resists UV and weather in a way PLA does not, staying tough and dimensionally sound through sun, heat and rain rather than growing brittle over a season on a Johannesburg roof. This black spool suits functional work: automotive components, outdoor fixtures, garden hardware and anything mounted where the weather gets at it. It is a more demanding print than PLA and rewards an enclosed printer and a draught-free corner of the workshop. Choose it when the alternative is replacing the same part every summer.
