Ender PLA+ is the reinforced version of standard PLA, with more impact resistance and a little more flexibility, so a dropped part is likelier to bounce than to break. That makes it a sensible default for functional work such as housings, mounts, tool holders and replacements for things you cannot buy locally. Beige is an oddly practical colour, close enough to unpainted board, card and older equipment plastics that a part blends in rather than announcing itself. It handles much like ordinary PLA, so moving up to PLA+ costs nothing in setup and repays the choice the first time something hits the floor.
