Glossy filament bounces light straight back at the viewer and every layer line comes with it, whereas a matte finish scatters that light, so the same model looks smoother without any sanding at all. It prints with the manners of standard PLA, needing no enclosure and no special profile to come out right. Keep it for the pieces that go on a shelf rather than into a machine.
