Fire Red belongs to SA Filament’s UV neon range, made locally in South Africa for makers who want a colour that reacts under blacklight. In daylight it reads as a saturated, slightly orange red; under UV it turns hot and luminous. Extrusion behaves like ordinary PLA, so there is nothing new to learn beyond dialling in the profile you already use. Reach for it when the finished piece will be seen in a dim room: stage props, event signage, gaming accessories and display models that need to hold attention. Local manufacture also means shorter waits than imported neon stock usually involves.
