The stock plastic extruder arm is the part that cracks, and it tends to crack quietly: the first sign is usually under-extrusion halfway up a tall print. This bundle replaces it with an aluminium assembly and re-tubes the filament path with Capricorn at the same time, which is sensible because they are the two most common causes of the same symptom. Doing both at once means you fix the feed properly instead of replacing one part, testing, and coming back to the other a fortnight later.
Good for
- Curing intermittent under-extrusion
- Replacing a cracked extruder arm
- Upgrading a stock Bowden setup
- A single job rather than two
