A 4010 axial fan is one of the most common consumables in an FDM printer, used to cool the hotend heatsink or the control board, and it is usually the first component to fail audibly. A bearing that has begun to rattle, or a fan that has stopped turning altogether, brings on heat creep, jams partway up a print, or a board that throttles itself, and those symptoms are easy to misread as a filament fault. This is the 24V version in the standard 4010 footprint, so it drops into the mounting used across most Creality Ender and CR series machines. Worth stocking two, since they rarely fail at a convenient moment.
Good for
- Replacing a rattling hotend fan
- Fixing heat creep and mid-print jams
- Control board cooling replacements
