A generic silicone boot for the square heater blocks used on the Ender-3 and most machines built around the same hotend design. Without one, the block throws warmth straight into the airflow from the part cooling fan, and every drip of filament that escapes the nozzle welds itself to the aluminium. With one fitted, the hotend runs more evenly and the mess collects on a part you can peel off and replace for very little money. Check the dimensions against your own block before ordering, since this is the standard size rather than a printer-specific moulding. The silicone is rated for sustained heat.
